This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop early this
afternoon over the mountains and then move off into the plains by
later in the afternoon and through the evening, with the best
chance for storms mainly north of Highway 50. Any thunderstorms
today may produce occasional cloud to ground lightning and gusty
winds to 45 mph, and one or two storms over the Pikes Peak region
could become strong, with hail up to an inch in diameter and
gusty winds up to 60 mph. Higher elevations above 10000 feet will
see snowfall today and tonight, and spotty 3 to 5 inch amounts
are possible, mainly for the Sawatch and northern Sangre de
Cristo Ranges. Lighter amounts are forecast for the remaining
mountains.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday
Enhanced fire danger is expected for portions of the area on
Thursday.
There will be a slightly better chance for showers and
thunderstorms across the central mountains, Pikes Peak region and
the Palmer Divide Friday through Sunday.

This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western
Colorado.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Quieter weather conditions return today with winds picking up
across the region this afternoon at 10-20 mph with gusts over 30
mph expected, primarily north of I-70. A few showers are expected
overnight in the eastern Uintas and northeast UT.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday
A more active pattern returns Thursday as a series of disturbances
along a frontal boundary impact the region. Showers and
thunderstorms will favor northern CO Thursday, then move southward
Friday and into the weekend. Showers will remain mostly confined
to the mountains. Saturday and Sunday will see more widespread
shower and thunderstorm coverage on most of our mountains. Active
weather exits the region Monday and a warmer, drier period begins.

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Warmer and drier weather is expected today, with only a slight
chance of a shower or thunderstorm across the far eastern plains
late this afternoon into this evening.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday
Thursday will be warmer and drier across the region that will
bring elevated fire weather conditions. A cold front will pass
through the forecast area from north to south overnight Thursday
that will bring cooler temperatures and a chance for snow showers
to the mountains and foothills. Isolated showers and thunderstorms
will be possible each afternoon. Warmer and drier conditions will
develop at the beginning of next week as ridging builds in across
the western CONUS.
